Great post! Have to admit, I view myself as someone who has done quite a bit of self-discovery, and yet the attachment hijack you describe occurs more often than i’d care to admit. Candidly? The main thing that has helped me was not dating or being with an avoidant partner (speaking directly to your mention of the harsh truth!). My current partner and I have our moments when my system goes haywire for sure but his ability to discuss that and not shut down has done wonders to overcome the inner panic.
It would really help understanding your concepts to include concrete examples for each of them. Abstract language alone does not insure practacle application.
